I really haven't started making these yet, but here are some photos of the book cover I made for my own photo album that travels the shows with me.

Inspirational photos for projects I plan to attempt "I put these up for you, Heather!" Please realize that these are photos found on the web; these are not photos of anything I have done yet!
This first one is one that would be real period. It was designed to hung from under the belt using the extra leather and ball knot. This was a common style used in situations where it could be dropped to it hanging position whenever you required free hands. Click the photos for larger versions (you knew that, I'm sure!)

This is just an example of an old period book with some tooled designs on the cover. I could do something like this as well, including the distress to make it appear aged. The only thing I haven't figured out yet would be the metal hardware. But I could do similar leather versions perhaps. Still thinking out some of this stuff!

Probably the easiest style to do would be something like this, minus the metal corner decorations. I could replace those with leather, and still use rivets, or hand stitch it.
