3D PICTURES!

This page is right now under major offline re-construction, and some photos and links may temporarily not work. Please keep checking in as changes are made frequently! I plan to have it finished soon, so bookmark now, and check out a sponsor!

These pages are tested extensively using a screen display of 800x600. Results may vary with different screen sizes, and on AOL. One tip to improve on AOL - go into your preferences and select UNCOMPRESSED graphics. They will take a little longer to load, but photos from any web site will look much better on AOL. Or, just use something else...

These photos were all taken with special cameras with multiple lenses, allowing them to take multiple images at slightly different angles. These images are then combined either by prisms as in a Lentistic print, or by your brain during a freeview. A Lentistic print is one that looks sort of holographic, or prismatic. Sadly, I can't put an example of one those here, but I will have inexpensive samples that you can purchase soon.

All images presented here are available in the Lentistic format, and are really cool! Contact me for purchasing information.

VIEWING INSTRUCTIONS

What you will find here are two multiple images for each photograph. What you need to do is to "fuse" the images together by crossing your eyes while looking at the images. This is called 'freeviewing'. It can be difficult at first, but you can do it. Follow the link for more detailed help with Freeviewing.

3D photos (or stereo photos) come in different forms. Typically you will find them as either a print or a slide. Prints are usually in the form of a 3.5 x 7 inch card like the antiques (although many people, including myself still make them today); and slides are roughly 2x4 inches. Both forms require a viewer to see them properly. The only exception would be a print where the images are reversed from those forms, and that will allow you to "freeview" them. All of the images here are set up so that you can "freeview" them with no special viewer.

Now, try one!

This was the first 3D picture I ever took. It involves Tim Barron and Paul Sutherland during their Q106 days. I said "Do something Dimensional", so they threw cart tapes at me in the sound booth!

Here we are at the new Baseball Stadium in downtown Lansing Michigan.

This was taken during the World of Dreams Auto Show on 3/22/97 at the Lansing Center in Lansing, Michigan.

Here's some more!

Here's my brother receiving an indulgence at the 1996 Michigan Renaissance Festival in Holly Michigan.

Hope you were able to make these freeviews work for you!

This site is under a major revamp, as it has moved to a different host.. Many of the broken links have been fixed, but some things still may not work correctly. Please bear with me as I scrap out the old bring in the new. Thanks!
